Lobby
The elegant lobby was restored to its original 1924 woods and marble during
the renovation of the hotel in 1997. Magnificent Renaissance-style
paintings reflecting Roman and biblical scenes, and various fruit and flower
still-lifes overlook the polished floors that are covered in antique rugs,
plush couches and dining tables. A white piano completes the classic look
with large ferns and red candles that soften the dark woods and 19th century
style decor.
A
reception desk is available at all hours of the day and night, and a
concierge desk is available most days for additional assistance with travel,
tours and general information. Many staff members are bilingual for
your convenience.
The lobby
looks out to downtown Culver City, where commercials and scenes are
occasionally shot in front of the large arch windows.
