Angeleno Magazine Photoshoot & Fete. The Culver Hotel Takes Spotlight
As December approaches, Angelenos eagerly await the release of their namesake magazine’s annual ‘Dynamic Women’ issue showcasing Los Angeles’ most charismatic, influential and compelling female leaders. The luxury lifestyle magazine honors individuals from the arts, entertainment and design, to business and philanthropy. The launch of the 2019 issue was particularly exciting for us because Angeleno Magazine chose The Culver Hotel as the main backdrop for the issue’s unveiling as well as the entire issue’s photo shoots, one of which featured our very own dynamic sisters Maya Mallick and Angela Mallick.

Magazine Publisher Chris Gialanella wanted to ensure that each woman had the opportunity to tell her story and showcase her personality which is why we gave Angeleno Magazine full reign of the hotel. For a period of four weeks, forty remarkable women were photographed throughout the property which allowed readers a behind-the-scenes look into the mystique and magic of the hotel, revealing its many moods and beautifully diverse vignettes. “As a business leader and female entrepreneur it felt very fitting to have all the Dynamic Women photographed here at the hotel” says Maya Mallick, Owner of The Culver Hotel. “It was a pleasure to work with the entire Angeleno team, including writer Matthew Stewart, and photographers Philip Marcias and Vincent Vallejo.”
On December 4th, The Culver Hotel kicked off the holiday season with the official unveiling of Angeleno’s 2019 December issue. With 250 guests, the Grand Lobby was buzzing with good cheer, wine and cocktails were flowing freely and a DJ, accompanied by a live saxophonist was getting the crowd into the groove. Chris Gialanella’s impromptu group Happy Birthday song to our owner Maya Mallick added to the festivities. Guests, outfitted in LA-chic cocktail attire, feted over decadent seafood, charcuterie and antipasto, which paired perfectly with chilled bottles of Italian beer and single-malt Scotch Whiskey, provided by partners Peroni and Glenmorangie.
“With Culver City experiencing its own dynamic boom at the moment, it felt timely to host the Dynamic Women and their guests right here, right now.” To read about Maya and her sister Angela Mallick’s own dynamic partnership in the pages of Angeleno please click here.
